World Leaders 2009 winners revealed
The 2009 WORLD Leaders International IP Awards proved to be another glittering evening recognising the industry's top talent.
The ceremony, which took place at Vinopolis in London on 2 December, attracted IP practitioners from around the world and recognised winners in regional categories.
Winners for each of the 22 categories were announced, with somecategories also awarded a high commendation. Voting for the 2009 awards wasopen to all in the industry, through online voting.
Among the chosen recipients of the awards were The Body Shop, who won for In-House IP Excellence in the Europe, Middle East and Africa category, Davies Collison Cave, which won the Law Firm of the Year award in the Asia Pacific region and the IP group at Wolf Theiss, which was recognised as the Entertainment & Media Law Team of the Year.
This year's lifetime achievement award went to Penelope Nicholls, partner at D Young & Co.
The winners were nominated and chosen by IP professionals currently working in the field with a record number of votes cast this year. The 2009 World Leaders awards were the sixth held by publishers Informa.
